Julie Horrocks
Julie and her family arrived in Bentonville on June 2010. Prior to NWA her family had lived in many diverse places including: Austin, TX, Orlando, FL, Salt Lake City, UT, Boston, MA, and Honolulu HA. Julie was raised in Iowa. With her husband Steve, Julie has two grown children (Haley & Robert) and two teenagers (Jon & Whitney). She enjoys children’s literature and family history. Learning something new and enjoying family dinners are two things that make her happy. She prefers dark chocolate. Her favorite food is shrimp. Her favorite dessert is key lime pie. And she loves to vacation anywhere with a beach! Her favorite hymn is “High on a Mountain Top” because it declares to the world who we are and what we believe. She hopes to exercise consistently this year.
Carrie Wilde
Carrie moved to the area with her husband Duben in August 2008. Before that she lived all over: Chandler, AZ, Monterey Bay, CA, Las Vegas, NV, Salt Lake City, UT, Rexburg, ID, Richmond, VA, and New York City, NY. She has one little girl, Ainsley, who is 1 ½. She loves to cook, bake, travel, and try new things. Her family makes her happy. She prefers dark chocolate from Germany or Switzerland. Carrie’s favorite food is Chicken Bryan from Carrabbas. Her favorite dessert is apple pie. Her favorite place she has visited on vacation is Venice, Italy, but she also loves going home. Her favorite hymn is “I Know that My Redeemer Lives” because of the beautiful and strong message it gives of our Savior and Redeemer. She never doubts His love, and she knows that He gave the ultimate sacrifice for us. This year Carrie plans to read more books.
