Play group...from Missy Dunkin
Hi Centerton 2nd Branch Mamas,
I am organizing a play group for our branch! I am really excited. We will meet once a week, and we hope EVERYONE will come! Since it's so HOT outside and summer time (kids home from school!), we will be meeting inside in public places mostly (in the fall, we will meet in homes often). We will do some outdoor water stuff (spash park, swimming, etc), though! Yay!
So, I have some questions for you, mamas. What are days and times that work for you? I know early afternoons may be bad because of littles' naps, but maybe late morning? 10-ish? Also, what are some things you and your kids would love to do this summer? Let's do them together! Email me at missydunkin@gmail.com with your ideas/thoughts.
Some ideas I've had are play places, Barnes & Noble (have you seen their train table?!?), Jump Zone (thanks, Chelsie!), some of those summer movies at Malco, the splash park, Braum's for ice cream, Krispie Kreme for a tour, and a few others. I'm hoping you have lots of ideas too!
Our first meet up will be Friday, June 4 at 10 AM at Chick-Fil-A on Walnut. It's breakfast time, or wait a half hour for lunch! The kids are sure to have a blast playing on their playground! I think the week after we'll do Jump Zone (the kids will be out of school!).

A warning for the Branch parents who are gardening at the Church!
Just wanted to let you know: Camryn got into poison Oak/Ivy at the church garden. Took her to the doctor. She was playing in the areas that were not plowed. May want to send a note to parents to have there kiddo's wear pants or keep them away from it.

June Book Group!
Ladies,
Has everyone been figuring out the love languages of your husband and kids? I have attached the quiz that you can use to help assess kids. I think it is really helpful. We had a great time discussing the different love languages and finding out a little bit more about everybody :) And we especially enjoyed Nicole's homemade strawberry shortcake...yum! Thanks for hosting Nicole!
For June we will be reading Hunger Games and Catching Fire by Suzanne Collins. We are doing both books because you can't read the first one with out DYING to read the second one. It would also be really difficult to discuss one with out talking about the other. Just make sure you read them in order! Hunger Games is first, so start there.
We will meet Thursday, June 3rd at 8:30 pm. Host is TBD.
I would really like to spend a little time planning out the rest of the year. If you have book ideas, please send them to me and I will compile a list of possibilities to choose from. Also, if you are willing to host, pick a month between June and December and I would love to sign you up!
