**In preparation for using the Stake's dry canner in Sept/Oct, Chelsie Moline is going to share some of her wondrous food storage knowledge with those of us who are just getting started with food storage and don't' know where to start!
The cannery is really backed up with orders so we'll be needing to place orders for number 10 cans and such in the next month or so in order to have them by Sept/Oct!!
Chelsie will be covering topics like:
*What to order/store
*How much of each item we need
*What items to start with
*And more! :)

We will also be having a 72 hour kit class May 5th same time, same place. :)

GeoTagging video-learn how to protect our children in Smart phone pics from internet predators...

Smart phone pics are tagged with GPS locations, so it is making it easy for predators to pinpoint exact locations of where pics were taken i.e. your home address, park address, school address, etc.  This news report shows the dangers and also provides a solution.  PLEASE WATCH!

The video clip was sent from the BPS tech department. I thought you might be interested. The good news is at the end of the video clip is a way to change your phone's settings to keep your location safe.

Black Pug

Sister Skye Ames had a black pug dog show up at her house during the last set of storms.  She would love to find a good home for him instead of calling animal control.  If you are interested in adopting the black pug please let me or Skye know.

Donations for Missionaries

Hello Central Park Ward,

I am trying to gather donations for some missionaries in Sierra Leone, Africa. They are not as fortunate as we are, and the area is stricken with desolation and poverty. They have a great need for used nice white button-up shirts (the most common sizes are 14 or 15 neck sizes, though I am sure any sizes would be appreciated), used reading glasses, neck ties, and dark socks. My family and I would like to put together a care package to send there. If anyone has any of these items they are willing to donate, it would be so greatly appreciated! I know that these missionaries and members would just love it. If you are willing to donate, please email back to let me know. I can stop by Tuesday evening to pick up donations. If you won't be home, you can leave it on your front porch, or you can drop it by my house, or whatever else works best for you. Melissa Morales

Melissa and her husband Pedro moved to NWA in January 2006 from Rexburg, Idaho. They have three children: Annaleise (6), Eric (4), & Brianna (1). Melissa is interested in finding time for hobbies. Date night, bedtime, and a happy family make her happy. She prefers milk chocolate, unless she is being health conscious--then she chooses dark chocolate. Her
favorite food is sweet potato fries. Her favorite dessert is brownies. Her favorite place to vacation is Disney World. Her favorite hymn is "A Child's Prayer" because it's simple and sweet. This year she hopes to find joy in what she does.

Amy Bench

Amy & her husband Greg moved to NWA in Dec 2006 from Saratoga Springs, UT. They have three children: Tanner (8), Brynlee (5), & Kade (3). Amy enjoys needlework, hand stitching, gardening, camping, & having fun in the sun. Amy is happiest when her kids are happy, spending time with family and friends, being outside, working in the flower beds, & when her home is clean. Amy prefers milk chocolate. Her favorite foods are Mexican or Italian. Her favorite dessert is apple crisp. And her favorite place to vacation is the mountains. Her favorite scripture is Isaiah 41:10 (Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.) Her favorite hymn is "As Sisters in Zion." This year she hopes to learn to relax with her kiddos, play more and work less, learn how to quilt, & really learn how to use her camera.

Gardening Class

Brother Berlan Crouch will be teaching a Gardening Class on Tuesday April 12th at 7:00pm at the Centerton Building.  Brother Crouch is a wealth of gardening knowledge and knows just how to make things understandable to “lay” folk.  He will be teaching a class about how to start a garden and some of the things he has learned over the years.  This class will be great for those of us who aren't quite sure where to start or how to keep our gardens producing.  It will be a great night for all.
