10 Great Reasons to Spend Black Friday and Saturday at the Beehive:

 

1) TWO DOLLAR TOTES.  Yep, you read it right.  We'll have a limited number of scriptures totes for just $2 a piece.  Hurry in, these won't last long.  Of course, we have lots of other great totes on sale for 30% off (a great deal in and of itself).

 

2) Our BOOKS are always 10% off the regular price.  This weekend books are on sale big time.  We're talking as much as 70% off.  Fiction, non-fiction, doctrine, children's, lesson helps, motivational, cookbooks.  You name it, it's there.

4) CDs are 40% off.  That's right all CDs (except for the October General Conference CD's - which are now in).  That includes talks on CD, books on CD, and music CDs.

 

5) DVDs are buy one get one free.  This includes all DVDs except those from Church Distribution (see more about those later).  There are some fabulous family friendly movies at the Beehive that would make for a great Family Home evening movie night or stuff a stocking or two.

 

6) Select Church Distribution DVDs are on sale.  Regularly $5 each, we will have a bunch of them on sale for just $3 each.  This is lower than Church Distribution charges (even with free shipping).  These would make fabulous Visiting and Home teaching gifts, as well as gifts for teachers, neighbours, mailmen, hairdressers, piano teachers, friends and co-workers.

 

7) All DOWNEAST clothing is on sale.  You've already seen some great deals on this comfortable, stylish clothing.  This weekend we'll take an extra 10% off those already amazing prices.

 

8) CRISTUS is on sale.  Beautiful 18" Cristus statues regularly priced at $175 will be on sale for just $125.  Wow. 

 

9) CLEARPLAY machines are ½ off.  You probably won't need one of these to watch the great movies you buy from us, but they sure can expand your movie watching options.  They make a great gift, too.

 

10) All FRAMED ART is 30% off.  This includes great artists like Greg Olsen, Liz Lemon Swindle and Simon Dewey (to name a few).

Great Ideas for Bethlehem Costumes

 

Easy costume ideas for robes, tunics, or clothing that wrap around or drape over the body:

 

A simple tunic can be made by taking a piece of fabric the width of your body and twice the length. Fold it in half length wise and make a slit in the fold for your head. Tie it around your waist with a sash, scarf, cord, or rope.

     

Bathrobes or lounge wear can be used (modest only please). Plain knee-length or full-length dresses can be tied about the middle with a scarf, sash, rope, or cord. The women can also wear a scarf or shawl to cover the head.

 

An easy costume can be made by folding a sheet in half so the hems are at the bottom. Over a shirt and pants, hold the sheet behind your back, grasp a corner fold in each hand. Drape the left corner over the left shoulder and bring the right corner under the right arm, across the chest and drape it over the left shoulder. Secure with a safety pin or piece of jewelry.

    

Shepherd type head wear can be made for adults and children with a towel, scarf, or pillow case, secured on the head with a length of rope, twine, yarn, or even tape.

branch Christmas party

Branch Activity:  Friday, December 3rd, 6:30pm-- A Night in Bethlehem.   We invite you to dress in biblical attire and imagine what it was like at the time of the Savior's birth.  A light dinner will be served.  Please bring non-perishable food items to be paid as your family's taxes. Support Local Roller Derby! Come join us on Monday November 15th from 6-8pm for information on NW Arkansas newest Women's Flat-Track Derby League, the Benton County Derby Dames! Hello ,
I wanted to let you know about some news that you might be interested in. Also, PLEASE forward this to anyone who lives locally that you think may be able to benefit from either event.

We are hosting two wonderful events geared towards helping families in our community. As you know current economic conditions have many families struggling to stay afloat. With the holidays approaching quickly many people are wondering how they will afford to give Christmas to their children. We were in the same boat last year and struggled so hard we could not afford Christmas gifts for our 3 children (we have 4 now). Had it not been for some generous people who gave to our family, our kids would have had nothing under the tree.

The year has been better to our family and we want to give back to our community! The first event will be held at Firesale in the Kingston Shopping Center (Rogers, AR) this Saturday, Nov 6th from 9am to 3pm. We will host a clothing drive and giveaway called “The Clothesline”. it’s our 2nd annual event. People can just show up and they will be given an opportunity to come and select some free clothing for their family members. Last year we gave away over 8,000 articles of clothing to over 1200 families.

We’ve teamed up with some local charities to make this event possible. Anyone wishing to make donations to the event can drop them off Friday evening or early Saturday morning before the event starts. (just use the contact info provided in this email to make arrnagments for drop offs) We have an urgent need for coats, CLEAN shoes and children’s clothing items. Donations need to be CLEAN and sorted, folded and presented ready to give. Please, no dirty or soiled items- nothing with stains or damage.

As an added bonus, we will be hosting another event Nov 15-22 in Springdale at the Ozark Center Point shopping center. It is a children’s consignment event geared towards the holidays. Our purpose is to give struggling families and opportunity to make some money to boost their Christmas budgets and also find great bargains on new and gently used items like: baby/children’s clothing, toys, furniture, gear, Christmas decorations and more. Anything to make a child’s Christmas a littler merrier!

Those who are interested in consigning can sign up for a free account at our website and enter items into the system from the comfort of their own homes. Simply enter them, tag them, drop them off and pick up a check at the end of the week. This will give may families the ability to get caught up on some bills and purchase gifts for their children. The sale is open to the public after a short private sale held for volunteer workers and consignors.

Items left over from the children’s consignment event will be given to needy families in our community.

My sister needs a new sitter for her daughter in the bentonville, rogers, centerton area. I was wondering if you might know anyone that is doing any at home childcare or might be interested in doing some?(a member of the church would be great) She usually needs someone 30-35 hrs per wk and it can be anywhere between 4am and 10pm depending on her schedule so it would need to be someone that is willing to be flexible. ....
